To encounter God is to meet and experience Him in a real way! It’s giving all of me for all of Him.
It’s celebrating all that He is, all that He’s
done, and all that He will do!Our desire as a youth movement is to provide a place for students to "encounter" God by first experiencing a personal relationship with Him through Jesus and then seeing God move as they share this encounter with others and then live out this God-encounter in everyday life.
To connect to real people is to help students experience deep, personal friendships with other students and leaders who are following Jesus, that will challenge, encourage, motivate, and love them to live out their commitment to Jesus. Our passion as a youth movement is to provide an atmosphere of acceptance and accountability where students can "connect" with real people and together follow and chase after Jesus Christ.
To immerse is to plunge under or go deep.
Our craving as a youth movement is to plunge students into the truth of God’s Word challenging them to search the Scriptures for answers developing a biblical worldview as they strive to live out what it says.
To "immerse" students in the Scriptures equips them to revolutionize their world for Jesus by using the gifts, talents, and abilities He’s given them.
Attention all Graduates – We are planning an Honor Graduates Night Sunday, June 1, during the evening service. We will be honoring all graduating seniors (public, Christian, and home-school) with a special graduation service and reception. During the service all graduates will be recognized and will receive a gift. Most importantly the church family will be informed of the graduates future plans and educated on how to best pray for them. If you are planning to participate, please let Pastor Jeff or Katrina Bowers know as soon as possible.
Promotion Day – Sunday, June 8, the sixth grade class will move up to JUMP, the eighth grade class will move to VERTICAL, and the seniors will move to the College Ministry. All other grades will promote Sunday, August 24.
VBS Ministry Opportunity – Pastor Jeff is encouraging all senior high teens to make this year’s VBS their “summer ministry project.” We will be organizing a group of teens to minister during the entire week of VBS. See Pastor Jeff if you are interested.
